Valley Fitness Group Exercise Class Description
BARRE – Muscle endurance workout, combining elements of Pilates, dance, YOGA & strength training, using body weight, light hand weights, balls, gliders & resistance bands.
BELLS & BUNS – Traditional kettlebell strength work for the 1st half of class & finishes with intense lower body & glute work to tone & tighten legs & buns.
BodyCOMBAT™ – An energetic program inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music, you strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness!
BodyFLOW™ – A Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates workout that builds flexibility, strength, and balance through a carefully structured series of stretches and poses in combination with controlled breathing to music which will leave you feeling centered and calm.
BodyPUMP™ – Hot sounds and compelling choreography keep you going through this revolutionary barbell workout that strengthens your whole body! This workout challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts, and curls.
BodyPUMP™ Express – Same great total body workout as above, simply compressed into a 45 MIN format.
BodySTEP™ – An energizing step workout that uses an adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step to uplifting music.
BodySTEP Athletic™ – Cardio workout using an adjustable step in addition to an interval circuit of high intensity exercises, to burn some serious calories. 45 MIN
Kettlebell SURGE – Increase your functional strength & cardiovascular fitness by working for 30 min of alternating kbell strength exercises & body weight cardio exercises, completing as many rounds as possible (AMRAP). Your pace, your workout, your results !!
MUSCLE MAX – Full body strength & conditioning, using barbells, dumbbells, body weight & resistance tubes, with various intervals or work and an extended core segment.
PEDAL & BURN – Stationary bike, indoor cycling workout mix of hills, drills, sprints, strength, endurance & more, with pumped up music & cool studio lighting. You control your tension, you control your ride & calorie burn. (Please sign up for this class at the front desk).
Pilates – Strengthen, lengthen, and tone with this non-impact class. Improve your flexibility, posture, and body alignment via a series of mat exercises.
PiYO – A high intensity, low impact workout (using body weight exercises), that brings the muscle sculpting of Pilates, the flexibility of Yoga and the calorie burn of cardio, all in one fun, functional movement training session with no weights & no jumps.
RISE & RIDE – Same great work out as our PEDAL & BURN class, just in a 45 MIN format.
SHRED 45 – Heart pounding bursts of work, followed by short periods of rest, using weighted & body weight exercises in a true high intensity interval training that is certain to ignite your fat burners to help you shred excess body fat.
Silver Sneakers™ – Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Designed for the older active adult.
SpINSANITY – Combines a cycle workout followed by an off the bike HIIT (high intensity interval) workout. (Please sign up for this class at the front desk)
TOTAL TRX/TRX FUSION – Suspension training that will build functional strength, improve flexibility, balance & core stability. TRX Fusion adds in other equipment like medicine balls, kettlebells & more. (Please sign up at the front desk to reserve a spot)
WATER WORX – Non impact exercises using the water as resistance in addition to other equipment like foam buoys & noodles.
YOGA – Improves health, balance, strength, flexibility and mental clarity through rounds of Sun Salutations and challenging standing poses that target and sculpt all major muscle groups. We end with a peaceful savasana to leave you feeling restored & centered. Namaste.
YOGAFlex – A form of yoga that uses basic fundamentals of yoga to focus on increasing flexibility and relaxation.
Zumba™ – Zumba is an International Dance inspired easy-to-follow fitness dance class that combines high energy and motivating music with unique dance styles that include the salsa, meringue, samba, and more.
